Artist Statement

Deborah Bridges is an award-winning sculptor of  stone,  clay and bronze.  She has 24 years experience sculpting professionally as well as teaching the art of figurative sculpture.  Deborah’s approach to her own art education was in the classical tradition of apprenticeship where she spent four years studying under the tutelage of several master sculptors who specialized in monumental scale bronze..    

Deborah’s  current work  is  figurative and feminine,  sometimes with wings,  and always evocative.   Her passionate pursuit of Spirit and Truth is the main influence on her work,  along with a marked predilection  to communicate a timeless grace and beauty through the human form.
